Since I have been critical of a few restaurants lately, I thought it would only be fair if I shared a good experience also. Well, I happened to be in the city today and dropped by for lunch to see what all the hype is about. I had the Ball Park burger which has bacon and cheese, lettuce, tomato and BBQ sauce, along with fries and an order of chili. Nice wholesome meal I know, but I gotta say it was really good. Fresh toppings on the burger was nice, the patty is very tasty. My only complaint would be either the burger is too small for the bun or the bun is too big for the burger. Regardless of the size I really liked the bun, so maybe they can make it smaller rather than replacing it with something generic. The fries were great, just like In-N-Out. I put the chili on the fries and it went very well together. Very fast efficient meal and reasonable price. Being the honest evaluator I am, I did try 2 different cuts, the rib eye and filet mignon and neither impressed me. The filet was dry and the ribeye lacked any marbling (which is what a ribeye is all about). I make a much better steak myself for a fraction of the price using standard supermarket meat.
