I think the MGM family of books took the games down at one point this year.
Don't know if they ever put them back up

And LSU going for 2 up 31? Spread 32
OSU going on 4th down up 30?

Toledo vs. connectucit bowl game a few years ago.

I don't believe that fixing games is a widespread problem. But I do know one thing. The Toledo-UConn Motor City Bowl game was fixed in Dec. 2004. And Gradkowski was in on it.

Any chance "Gary" was Sadaam Huessein, I mean they said an Iraqi guy?

I gave up on that conference last year. Too many shady things going on in those games. This shouldn't be too big of a suprise. I wonder if anything will happen with the Toledo coach.

I LIVE IN MACOMB COUNTY AND I AM SURE I HAVE SEEN THE 'ARAB' AT THE GREEKTOWN CASINO......................I WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOWN![]()

M Flava,
I agree. Tressel is making over. 2 million and he is going to worry about a point spread.
I agree certain games in smaller conferences are easy to fix and couple of them have been fixed. How much are you going to pay Tressel to fix a game 100K? He makes more per game coaching if you count the number of games his team plays.
Tressel, "Sure, I will fix the game. I only have a guaranteed contract making millions and pretty much run the state, but I want to make sure I risk everything I worked for an extra, what say 100K, better make it 50K, 100K maybe to visible"
Give me a break!
Why can people not just except the fact that in gambling the majority of breaks seem to go against you and people on remember when they lose.
Worst lose ever. Robin fuckin Ventura not circling the bases, what did I think he bet the under in the playoffs!

Many coaches like to keep alums happy....so if there is a chance to cover towards the end of the game....many go for it.
Spurrier!!
Best in recent years was Boise going for two with no time left in their bowl game, against Senneca Wallace and Iowa St, to win by...........................................11!!!
It was a great day.

Stoops at Oklahoma ALWAYS goes out of his way to cover the spread. Not because they are directly getting paid to do so, but to keep the alumni and the boosters happy - many of whom have money on the game.
You know point shaving happens all the time in college sports. You are a 21 year old kid and will be working at UPS (if you're lucky) in a few months. Some dude offers you 20 dimes to win by 10 instead of 17. How many of you would honestly turn it down?

I am always trying to be on the right side...
and so are the players...
|

I know which game you are talking about because I had action on it myself, LSU snapper botched it so they picked up the loose ball and tried to make something out of nothing (failing the conversion)...didn't really go for 2.
and OSU going on 4th down up 30? they went for the field goal, not the 1st down. Tressel is a coach that knows what his pointspreads are and I believe (personally) that OSU boosters and alums bet on Buckeyes and he is aware of this.

was it the temple-tol game this year.....didnt the spread go down real big all week long and it was a perfect middle....ace-ace bet all those toledo games didnt he?
